Turmeric, Ginger, Garlic Sipping Broth
Ingredients
- 1 Handful Turmeric, fresh and peeled
- 1/2 Handful Ginger, fresh and peeled
- 5-10 Garlic cloves
- 1 Tbsp of black peppercorns
- 1 Tbsp Turmeric, dried
- 8 Cups Chicken broth
- 1 Cup Coconut milk or 1 box of Aroy-d
- Salt to taste
Instructions
-
Prep ingredients. Peel and slice fresh turmeric and ginger root. Also smash a few cloves of garlic and measure out your dried turmeric and black peppercorns.
-
Add ingredients to stock pot with broth. Heat until boiling, then turn down the heat and simmer for fifteen minutes.
-
Add coconut milk to simmering broth and cook for another 5 mins.
-
Once infused, strain broth and discard the flavorings. I like to put a strainer over my Vitamix pitcher. This makes it easy to pour my sipping broth into mason jars.
-
Store broth in glass jars in the fridge. Will keep for ~5 days.
-
Enjoy and savor!
