Hot Matcha

This recipe is the easiest! Heat water, blend with matcha powder, and boom. A delicious tea that keeps you slightly buzzed and focused all day. You can add fat to make a creamy drink, a lil sugar for some sweetness, or leave it plain! Green tea is such a great addition to your healthy regimen.

Hot Matcha

Depending on your taste preference, add additional flavorings or sweeteners to create the perfect matcha for you! In this recipe I use coconut oil and I really like the flavor it yields. The coconut oil adds a creamy element that is smooth without taking over. I've tried coconut butter, coconut milk, and dairy free creamer but I think the coconut oil lends the best taste and consistency. And even without the coconut oil, the hot matcha is delish! Try a few variations, matcha brands, and find your personal style 🙂

Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 4 Cups Hot Water ~175-190 degrees
  • 1/2-1 Tsp Matcha Powder - Find a quality brand for better flavor. Ceremonial grade is best. I use Matcha Konomi.
  • 1/4-1 Tsp Coconut Oil

Instructions

  1. Add matcha and coconut oil to blender.

  2. Pour in hot water.

  3. Blend for 5-15 seconds. This in combination with the coconut oil will make it nice and frothy.

  4. Drink up the healthy buzz!
