Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie
Protein meet dessert. When I’m craving chocolate and peanut butter, this smoothie is my go-to! And yes, you can sub any nut butter of choice…. but let’s be real, peanut butter just tastes the best!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie
I recommend adding a scoop of protein powder to this smoothie. One scoop adds an extra 25 grams of protein! This can really add up, especially when you're looking to increase your protein intake. I use whey protein for maximum muscle growth and I like Ascent Brand Native Fuel Whey Protein Powder. Easy to digest and the best I've tasted!
Ingredients
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 1/2 Tbsp Peanut Butter
- 1 Tbsp Cacao Powder
- 1 Scoop Protein Powder - vanilla or chocolate
- 1/8 Tsp Vanilla Powder
- 1/8 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Cup Ice
- 1 Cup Water
- 1-2 Squares Dark Chocolate
Instructions

Gather ingredients.

Slice frozen banana into thick rounds for easier blending.

Add all ingredients to blender.

Blend on low, then pick up speed until smooth. Add water to thin or ice to thicken.

Add one to two squares of chocolate. This is optional, but it adds the best texture!

Finely chop chocolate and add to blender.

Blend and pour into a double walled, stainless steel mug to keep icy. Enjoy!
